Chicken Divan
Total cooking time: see below
1/3 CUP BUTTER
1/3 CUP FLOUR
1/4 TSP. SALT
3 CUP MILK
1/4 TSP. MUSTARD
1/4 TSP. WORCESTER
1 CUP GRATED CHEDDAR, RESERVE 1/4 FOR SPRINKLING
2 10 OZ BROCCOLI
1 TBS. SALT
1/4 TSP. PEPPER
6 LARGE BREASTS
2 YOLKS EGG (INTO SAUCE)
6 SLICES TOMATO
- SAUCE: Saute flour and salt in butter. Add milk gradually and while stirring constantly bring just to boiling, until thickened.
- Add rest of ingredients.
- Layer broccoli, sauce, chicken breasts, and more sauce.
- Top with remainder cheese.
- Bake in 350F oven until bubbly.
