Brian, Joan, and Tim McGuigan played in the Canwest “Client Appreciation” golf tournament yesterday at the Ile Perrot Golf Club. The tournament, as well as a live auction, supported Raise-A-Reader (Lire, C’est Grandir!), a charity which promotes family literacy programs across Canada.
Raise-A-Reader has raised over $8 million for nation-wide family literacy programs since its inception in 2002. One hundred percent of the funds raised locally have been donated to literacy programs in Quebec. We are very proud to support this wonderful charity, and to help raise awareness of the importance of literacy.
Our team, which also included Gazette advertising representative Danny Leung, finished 9 under par.
