McGuigan Pepin is getting into the Olympic spirit! We recently added an Olympic-themed display to the window of our satellite office on Ste-Catherine Ouest.

In addition to the Olympic flag seen here, we also have giant Olympic rings hanging in the window (above our dollhouse).

Buyers 101 Seminar tomorrow!

Just a reminder that McGuigan Pepin’s “Buyers 101” seminar takes place tomorrow night! Space is extremely limited, but a few spots still remain!

The seminar will take place on Wednesday, February 17th, from 6:00 until 7:30, at our new satellite office at 4431 Ste-Catherine Ouest, in Westmount.

Agent Tim McGuigan and mortgage specialist Lesley Wright will lead the discussion, which will be followed by an informal question-and-answer period, and a chance to talk one-on-one with a highly experienced real estate agent.

Light refreshments will be served, graciously provided by our neighbour, CoppAroma.

Real Estate Market Surging, says Globe & Mail

The Globe & Mail provides some hopeful news for Canada’s real estate market in a recent Report on Business:

Real estate market surging
Early signs indicate that Canada’s hot real estate market surged again in January. Among the cities to report data, sales rose an average of more than 60 per cent, and prices more than 14 per cent, from a year earlier in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa, BMO Nesbitt Burns said. In Toronto, sales jumped 87 per cent and prices 19 per cent. Earlier this week, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver reported that, excluding apartment properties, sales rose 141 per cent in January from a year earlier, and prices 19.5 per cent.
